Is this 25600TB Pelagos Fake?
So searching online, I've come to find the Pelagos line has been faked VERY well by numerous factories. I came across this and will be inspecting it in person tomorrow. If I won't be able to open the case back what else can I do to ensure it's a genuine watch?
I'm not digging that date alignment. Thank you! |

Based on those pics alone, it would be a pass for me.
As you mention, these are some of the most accurately faked references out there. You would need much higher resolution images (and know what to look for) to make any definitive determinations. That said, I already don't like a few things with the low-res images provided. YMMV. |

Since I'll be handling it later today what should I be on the lookout for?

We are "discouraged" here at TRF from discussing "particular details" of fakes.
You really need a PROFESSIONAL up close inspection by a knowledgeable watch technician.

Having owned one in the past it looks good to me from pictures but handle it for sure before you pull the trigger

Does it work to weigh the watch to make sure it matches authentic weight? Or are they already caught on to this tell?

I went to see it Sunday, then had it resized at RSC with the private seller this morning. Seller completely put my mind at ease and got decent deal on this special watch! I definitely 'bought the seller' over the watch. I imagine it stealing a lot of wrist time away from the 116610LV and 79220R!
