Getting into a patek
So all this week I walked into all of ap,vc, and pp n of course Rollie. Here’s exactly what happened:
Ap; sales lady comes n introduces herself and asks what ur looking for. I said Nothignsoecial and just seeing what you have. She follows u to every empty case in this store . Then she shows u one of the offshore in the case but the case said not for retail. So we are walking around this store with empty cases: she didn’t even inquire about us or why we want an ap which to me should be one of the first questioning Pp” was in there for 6 min The convo” do u have any 57s。 57 Anything, Ashoka her head and acknowledge, edge she Cz g get it Then we went trying to get a rolex, the one right in the middle of the Venetian macau. They has small women’s watches and a other set of empty casss I won’t go into ap, we walked. And she basically escorted out because they have nothing guo shoe u Screw those brands I was willing to spend 100. Tu gbey had nothing to sell |

Sorry your experienced sucked - the Patek/AP/Rolex watch market is messed up right now, and its super frustrating. Patience!

Looks like the wrong approach here... you'll need to take off the case back to get into a Patek.

Not going to fault the OP as English might not be his first language (hopefully not), but I do recommend spending a few minutes to just double check the post as some parts aren't even words. Autocorrect is our friend.
As for your experience, this can't be your first time walking into any ADs especially in the HK area. Nor would I expect them to treat you any different. In those markets, including my own experience, if you are simply walking in off the street without a call before hand, appointment, etc... they'll treat you like someone just browsing. There are tons people looking around in any retail business... other than a simple hello... the retailer is just going let you do your thing until you have question in mind or want to try something on. Frankly, I rather a sales not bother me until I have question. I don't like being watched like a hawk. If you are serious about something, most consumers nowadays are quite knowledgeable and it is perfectly fine for you to initiate the conversation. You saying you have "100" to spend actually gives me the opposite vibes of you being arrogant along with the fact you likely spent 5 seconds conjuring up your post, I think it might have been you that gave the AD some negative vibes.... not the other way around.... I.e. if your first words in a Patek AD is do you have a "57XX" well it doesn't matter what language you speak... you should know what's coming. Maybe start the conversation differently next time... |

In Mainland China (and probably in Macau as well were the OP was apparently) for the last few months all the popular watches are sold out and impossible de find, there is NOTHING to sell in most Rolex's shop in Shanghai, few gold lady pieces that's it, same goes for VC and PP, AP has a bit more stock (t least the shop doesn't look like it has been stolen), Chinese staying in China means huge bum in sales for all these brands.
Brands like Omega, Blancpain, Breguet, IWC, Jaeger, etc are still well stocked |

OP, i m not sure what you expect. But that is the new norm nowadays.
Either go grey or move on to something else.

If you're in that position, I would just go grey and buy what you want.

I would venture a guess that everything is OOS because Chinese New Year is coming up!! OP should look elsewhere for those brands...maybe Singapore or Indonesia. I think those countries are open for flights from China.

Singapore is open to tourists but there are no 57xx and 516x here. Food and weather is alright though, but you have to wear masks everywhere as it is a regulation.
