Service

Just curious how long people go before sending in for service where the 5 years has run but there are no issues with the watch. Thanks

Save your money Bob, if you don't have any issue with your watch.....

Unless you swim with your watch then I would pressure test it every year....

Lubricants do dry out at some point with the potential of increased wear and tear to the moving parts of the mechanism. However, as long as the watch is running fine, I believe that with modern synthetic lubricants it is relatively "safe" to only have the watch serviced every 10 years or so.

Agree with the point above pressure testing every year for watches you swim / shower with.

Every ten years or when it starts to malfunction or stops.

I believe there is a legend that Philippe Stern rarely serviced his 3940
