It was my 3rd watch purchase. I was 25.

My first luxury watch was a Longines Evidenza Chronograph in 2009, followed by a Panerai 005 and a Rolex Submariner (no date) in 2010.

I got it new from an AD with a 10% discount!

My next Rolex wasn’t added until this past January. A two-tone Datejust 41.

It’s funny how tastes evolve and mature over the years.

Nooooo! Call the AD back and take it. And then dump the gray market one to a grey seller. It’s what I did with my 216570 and then call came for 226570 and bam about 1 grand later, switcharoo

I started watch collection with G Shock in my 20s.
Then, i switch to Tag Heuer in my 30s.

and now, switching to Rolex. My first one was in Feb this year - DJ Wimbledon which I did not plan for it. Just simply walked into an AD in Saudi and they have this to offer me. Straight fall in love with the brand, and cant really control heart to slow down, I went for a batman a few days ago.

Oh ya, I am 38 years old btw.

I bought my first Rolex in my 30s, I bought two immediately - GMT-Master II (Batgirl), YG Submariner (Bluesy)

I come from a very poor background, if I hadn't bought my mother an apartment, I would have had it much earlier.

I guess I am a bit late to the game. I always wore a decent watch, but my first Rolex (a white gold sub) I bought for my retirement at 58 years old.

My first Rolex was an 14000 Air-King black dial I bought in 1992, when I was 22 years old. retail was $1650, I ended up paying $1280 after discount. This was at Musselmans Jewelers in Reading PA at the now demolished Fairgrounds square mall.

My first Rolex purchase was a 26mm TT DJ. It was the late 80’s and I was in my early twenties. Fast forward to 2024 and I still own that watch (for sentimental reasons), along with 4 others (Tiffany signed Tudor, GMT II, 36mm TT DJ w/ MOP dial and 1950’s vintage Oyster) acquired over the years.❤️

Early 20's and was a gift/DJ from a friend/employer at the time. That started me down the road of watch obsession. Been a heck of a ride!

Late Bloomer

I am 53 years old and purchased my first Rolex last week. It is a Sea-Dweller 126600 mkII and it is beautiful. I am just starting my watch journey and I've been super fortunate to have found this watch at Tourneau-Bucherer-Rolex in the Roosevelt Field Mall. The SAs were kind, patient and most of all 'encouraging'. They made me feel like I would actually be able to get a watch.

43. A DateJust as a milestone gift to myself.
Had talked about it as a 20th wedding anniversary gift bu5 my wife passed away unexpectedly before we would’ve hit our 20th.

Instead bought it for myself as a 25 year anniversary at work.

43- I had been on the hunt for a couple of years. Finally walked out and purchased a two tone black sub.

42. I purchased my first Tudor.

44. Purchase my second Tudor.

It took a while for that law degree to pay off. But it’s been good lately. Now, if I didn’t have two kids and a wife with expensive tastes, I might have half a dozen Rolex.
