Should I service my Rolex just for the sake of it ?

I bought my Rolex’s brand new from an AD. One of them is in its last year which factory warranty is still valid. I never serviced or polished it at any point and have been giving my sub basically daily wear for years. Should I send it in for service just because the warranty is expiring or should I just let it be?

Why would you want to spend 700 bucks on a service if there is nothing wrong with your watch?

I generally go 7 or so years in between services and have never had any issues.

I'm on my 7th year on my SD since it's overhaul, and so far so good. Hoping it will last longer. It has been keeping +1 sec per day which is fabulous.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I had a 2001 16610ln that I had since brand new and sold 2017. In between I never had it serviced once. But I was just curious to see if people send it in for service just us a precaution

When I started to hear noise when the rotor was spinning, that's when I got it serviced.

Mine was a 2005 model (D serial).

The warranty covers manufacturing faults/defects.

It does not cover wear and tear, accidental/malicious damage, and does not provide a free service just in case

Luckily I have almost no signs of any wear. Minus a few minor scratches on the clasp. I guess I wont send it in. No reason

Hell no! If it's running well, leave it alone. Warranty expiration has no bearing on function loss and a service isn't free.

No, service should be just for when it's due or when there's a problem. Don't worry about it.

Heck even if it’s running fast or slow say several minutes after a month I would still pass on service
