just my first pics.....so much better then my old 4 mp!!

the crown...yep its dirty!!

and some of the face....im still experimenting with the settings...

the camera is a Sony DSC-W55 7.2 mp with the Carl Zeiss Lens. so far im impressed!!

Great shots! I have a Sony Cybershot. I suck with it. Is it me or the camera. My pics are not very sharp.

Nice macro shots Pete! Are these cropped?

KV: You'll need to find the setting in our camera that looks likea flower/tulip. This will put your camera into macro mode.

Tried the only thing on the camera that even remotely looks like a flower/tulip icon. I took some pics. They suck. So I guess its just me...not the camera.

no problem!!! yeah i need to clean the sub....havent had alot of time with the new house and all!!! u have to play around with the macro a bit to make it right. Hold down the "shoot" button on the camera until it focuses. from there you should be able to tell if it is going to be clear or not. You have to keep an eye on how close you have the camera to the watch face.....ill post up some more pics when i clean the sub!!

With the camera in macro mode, you still need to either use a tripod or place the camera on some solid object so there's no shake.

NO FLASH!!! Once you've angled the watch on its side, approach it with the camera from an angle (so you don't get any bounce of the sapphire crystal).

Hold the camera firm and click. Try this a few times and you should come up with some really good pics.

I know for macro shots you need to be close, but if you are too close, the camera cannot focus. Try to have a distance of about 5 inches from the subject and make sure you have it on a tripod or something steady. Camera shakes are magnified at macro mode.
