Really impressed with the accuracy of my OP39

About a month ago I purchased my first Rolex a rhodium Oyster Perpetual 39

I'm really happy with it, it's a great size for my wrist (rather flat'ish 6.7") and the quality of the fit and finish is bar none

But what strikes me the most is the incredible accuracy. I've been measuring it for around 13 days (via an app) and it's quite consistent at -0.5s/24hrs. For a mechanical watch! Incredible.

The only "downside" is I'm already looking to expand my collection

Kind regards,

A very happy first time Rolex owner

I feel the same as you. I am completely amazed at the timekeeping accuracy of Rolex watches! I have measured the ones that I have owned and they have all been almost perfectly accurate!

Do you feel it differ over time or will it stay in this bandwidth out of the box. The first week was more like -1s so it did improve a bit the first couple of weeks

Excellent! Mine's been at a pretty consistent +2 for a year now - perfect accuracy would be great, but not worth opening the watch for.

From what I have seen, my watches have stayed in this bandwidth consistently.

The choice was between the 36 and the 39. Both fitted quite well but liked the presence of the 39 a bit more.
