Thanks. It’s not an original PP strap. It’s an aftermarket from France. I am not remembering exactly the store. But you can find a lot in web.

Not sure about wait times direct from AD tho - someone else who's visited more recently can chime in
They're definitely available at a discount second hand, and based only experience they're available at retail quite readily.

I was offered a 6119g and a 5205g as a walk in at Patek AD in Palermo, Sicily at the end of July. Both actually with a 15% VAT discount too.

100%! Over the past couple years, I've had a chance to see both the G and R, and I'd say the G is just better and looks so good with that grey dial.

I really like the piece particularly the G in white gold. There’s just something about the way they’ve done the dauphine hands I’m not too fond of.. I guess it’s the rounded look.
Much prefer the 5196 hands.

The vertical brushed finish of the grey is definitely very appealing. As they are hand finished no two look the same and some have a more symmetrical finished look than others. You really need to see the dial of the piece being offered. Maybe I’m too fussy!

Overall watch market has definitely been cooling, but I’ll also say that I started this thread when the watch first came out.

It was a new release from Patek with a brand new movement. Seems par for the course that new releases are always harder to get with a higher premium secondary. They release slower in the beginning because it’s new production and higher interest for new watch.

Look at the lefty Rolex GMT. It was a stupid price of $45k secondary when it first released 18 months ago. Now it’s a little under $20k secondary.

Yes truth of demand-supply elasticity.

Even the higher margin dealers in secondary market are selling one year old 6119s below MSRP.

No regrets, love my 6119R! I’m also not one to buy secondary, so I would’ve paid MSRP in 2021 or 2023. I don’t think the price has changed much up or down retail wise since it released.

I turned one down recently. Just couldn’t do it at 33 USD equiv. Plus retail is a fair bit more than market here. It was more the dark dial finishing on this one and the brushing wasn’t as nice as others I’ve seen like the photo in the calatrava thread. I also can’t get past the hands finishing. Oh well, wil stick to vintage! I guess at these crazy retail prices (plus more increases soon) you really have to love the piece to pull the trigger..
