Looks okay to my untrained eye.

Here’s pics of my dad’s 16710 for comparison. Note: it has a service dial.

Hmmmmmm I’m not an expert but it looks from the pictures
Please keep in mind that there are super fakes and that what’s “under the hood” matters. The movement can cost you quite a bit if it was replaced.

Go with the rule......... buy the seller. I wouldn’t buy a watch from an untrusted source no matter how good pictures looked!

Well picture looks good but thats just a picture, but like always buy the seller before the watch.

That would be wrong. 16710 is the reference number. It does not have a suffix, although in the USA they did put a suffix on the paperwork as a "style code".

When the GMT II was first introduced it came only with a black/red insert and there was no red/blue available. Red/blue was reserved for the GMT Master.

When the 16710 GMT II came out later, it became available with red/blue inserts. In the USA they lettered the inserts as A - red/black (the original color), B-red/blue, and N for black.

It's confusing because if you bought a GMT Master, 16700, it would have come with the exact same red/blue insert, but would carry a style code A, because the GMT Master never came with a red/black insert.

Oh... mine is 16760 with original dial that’s says Swiss>t25 . When I had it serviced by Rolex,they change the dial with “Swiss made”

My dad’s watch is supposed to be tritium filled hour markers. It now has Luminova filled hour markers instead. Also Swiss made instead of t Swiss t

I see, so the actual dial is just a modern replacement for your old original dial.

What I was wanting to know is if there were specific dials that were only used by the service department but your post clarified that there aren’t.

I guess, when buying a used piece you just have to do your research to know what type of dial the watch would have originally been supplied with to know whether the one currently in it is original or been replaced.
