Omega - dark side of the moon.

I recently tried this watch on and just fell in love with it. I was never really that interested in Omega before, but now can not get this watch out my head. Anyone else willing to pay the price for it?

Its a great watch but it's not as easy to read with the white gold hands especially the small chronograph hands, that said I'm not getting rid of mine.

I'm the same - I can't get the watch out of my head either!

Saw one in a boutique exactly one year ago today for the first time and started saving straight away. Bought one in February this year and it was my second Speedmaster.

Still looks brand new and continues to get a lot of favourable comments in the office.

I don't like black cars, wouldn't normally choose black cloths but absolutely love this black watch. Went and bought black jeans specifically - it seems to suit casual and weekend situations well and doesn't look out of place in the office once in a while.

Went to an Omega event earlier in the year and it was the first watch I grabbed - not the most expensive but it delivers a very solid statement about the quality of the new technology being brought to the table - and that deserves respect in my book.

I studied ceramic engineering so I was hooked after first sight.

I hope Omega doesn't flood the market with so many versions of this watch. The DSOTM is original and now they have released the grey side of the moon and I'm sure next year there will be a bright side of the moon lol. Even though the grey side is more classier looking and will be a big hit I still feel the original is a sexier and a more interesting piece. I just hope I don't decide to have both lol.

Very happy with mine it's a keeper. Pretty much been on my wrist since I bought it. Also looks as new as the day I bought it. Another benefit of ceramic. oh and it also does this in the dark!

Truly can't say enough good things about this watch! I really think you have to see and handle the watch to appreciate it. The second I saw one, it was all over...I'm an Omega convert for sure! lol

I love this watch, but wrist is on the smaller side at 6.5in. If this was 42mm, I think it would be perfect for me.

Don't rule it out because of your wrist size. I had a 9300 Speedy with the same case size and it worked on my 6.5" wrist. Lug design and length play a role in fit.

I still can't find a local store who has a display one of these bad boys to try on etc.

Question - I have about a 7 1/2 inch wrist. Is this OK with the DSOTM with the pin & buckle strap ?

And do Omega do a longer version of this strap, or offer a deployment clasp if my wrist is too big e.g. summer and the wrist swells up etc.?

Don't think they do either, mine was on one of the Hirsch performance range before an Omega Nato arrived.
