Anyone have this new 2021 SM300?
Would love to hear initial thoughts and see pics from any owners here

Do you know what changes they made to this model vs. it's predecessor? I don't follow this product line really but I'm intrigued to hear.

I'm a fan. I love that there isn't War & Peace printed on the dial, and there isn't a date display. I love that the bracelet tapers nicely, and the center links are brushed. I love that it has the twin-barrel movement. I think if I'm looking at watersport watches, this one is certainly on the short list.

Interesting how this pic came from Hodinkee, but the current catalog does not show a lollipop second hand.

2021 Omega Seamaster 300 master co-axial
Very nice watch. I like it a lot.
Only nitpick I have is the different fonts on the dial vs the bezel. Maybe it’s my OCD kicking in, but I’d like all numerals to be the same font. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am waiting to see this one in person. I like the blue on the bracelet.

I remember originals. Believe the blue was titanium? I think I read both steel now? + lollipop is the only obvious change that I see but haven’t looked into.. What other changes? |

@SpikedLee Those look fantastic! Great that they have a slightly smaller version, but I would take the one on the right.
Internet to see what you'll end up with next from Omega! Quote:
Side by side comparisons would be ideal, hopefully one of the watch review / blogging sites does so soon. I did end up finding a 4 month old YouTube video that outlines this for several Omega models. About 2 minute in they start covering the Seamaster 300. In addition to what's listed below they've updated the end links, to better fit smaller wrists or not extend as much. |

Instant buy (blue dial) if the indices, numerals and plots etc were white. Not a huge fan of the yellow/brown on the SS models, but I do like them on the bronze/gold version.

I tried this on in early April when picking up my Speedy 3861 (was told the one model the OB had was for a VIP event). I love the depth of the dial and the streamlined writing on the dial ("Master Chronometer" and all that stuff is on the back of the case and not the dial). Even with the re-designed end links, the Seamaster 300 wore larger than I expected at 41mm. Large enough that it really turned me off even though I was there to pick up my 42mm Speedy Pro.
I wish the Seamaster 300 was 38-39mm. It would be perfect. |

OK....I'm confused....why is the black dial version visually smaller than the blue? I thought they were all 41mm??? Or is it just some weird camera parallax?

They are both 41. The previous model has a ceramic bezel and the new is aluminum (makes no sense to me), and the numerals are printed, not cut out on the old. Lollipop sweep hand on the new model.
For the $, happy to keep my original version. I don't see the need for an upgrade
