Fishy Sub posting by Quest1412

Brand new seller is offering a 16610
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=807496

Reached out, struck a deal and paid for (PayPal goods and services so protected)

Seller won’t respond and is bumping the ad as if it is for sale.

Be aware!

No biggie for me. Always buy the seller but didn’t know new members post for sale without a probation period/post count

Um yeah, so buying the seller is good advice. Your seller has 3 posts.

Once in a blue moon you strike a deal. Just posting so others know.

No harm no foul. Clearly I annotated that

Also bought the same watch same situation. Goods and services will refund the money but it’s going to take time very annoying.

Disagree: there is harm and foul. When you feed the animals by trying to transact on a deal that’s too good to be true from someone with 3 posts it keeps them going and fishing for the next victim. Now other members here have paid him.

An argument can be made to prohibit brand new members with no post counts from advertising. As a hobbyist I have plenty of “barn finds”
This read as such. Again if you’re payment protected. No harm and no foul. To each his own.

I could’ve not made a thread and how many more would have paid…?

Mods took the ad down and those who paid will be refunded via PayPal

Don’t go swinging your %@$& around my posts when someone is trying to help.
Keep that energy to yourself

This guy I talked to said he was from Idaho , then told him I’d have someone meet him to do a ftf transaction, then said he was in Ohio , something was off from the start , I have his # if you need it ?

Thanks man. It’s all good. I have his number. He’s a scammer. Mods banned him and I’ll get refunded next week. Always use Amex 😉
