A murder has been committed. Police are called to an apartment and find a man standing, holding a 5-iron in his hands, looking at the lifeless body of a woman on the ground. The detective asks,

"Sir, is that your wife?"

"Yes."

"Did you hit her with that golf club?"

"Yes. Yes, I did," the man answers. He stifles a sob, drops the club and puts his hands on his head.

"How many times did you hit her?"

"I don't know. Five...six ...put me down for a five."

That's funny.

There's another one where this guy is playing in his usual 4 ball on Sunday morning and as he's standing over his putt a hearse leading a funeral procession goes by on the road adjacent to the course. The guy stops what he's doing, takes off his hat and bows his head. After the funeral goes by he puts his hat back on and proceeds to putt out.

His playing partner says, "Hey Harry, that was mighty respectful of you, to stop like that to honor the departed."

Harry says, "Well, that was my wife and had she lived a little longer we'd have been married 40 years."

Bet it was the same guy.
