Price increases are not within our control and if this can help to put the watches in the right hands, why not?

Yes but in my opinion exactly the lower middle-class is the target group of PATEK.. I don't see any normal wealthy people wear luxury watches in Europe.. It are all exactly the kind of people that try to show off something that isnt really there. In the USA btw i think this is different.

Before the Euro, you could get Patek Philippe watches ~40% off USA msrp. Shop in Germany, for example, and you get a 8% discount due to currency arbitrage, 8% discount due to mismatched MSRP from German Mark to USD, and then add the normal 25% discount of Pateks and VAT back too.

If you wait for things to cool and supply to meet demand, i could see 30% off modern new in-box from AD PPs if you shop smartly.

A lot of uncertainties and only time will tell. I'd be happy to see those days of discounts again but I don't think I've paid anything but msrp for a couple of years now. I keep on having this feeling that it won't happen again but let's hope I'm wrong.

exactly. It's like a perpetual black friday's sale. Raise prices by 20% and give 20% off!

I was at my AD on Friday.
The SA told me the increase will be 8%, the highest they have seen recently.

Glad I got the call for my first grail Patek on August

Had to pay a huge sum anyway due to 2022's MSRPs and stupid taxes.

Prices have increased in the UK at midnight some chunky increases to the nautilus range. The 5740 is now £117k is was around £104k last time I checked. 5712 is knocking on £40k which is a huge chunk of change to buy now even at list. The cost has doubled in just 8 years.
