3035 or 3055 can you tell the difference?
Is there a way to tell if a movement base was made for a 3055 or 3035? I have a date only model which is suppose to have the 3035 movement in it, but the auto bridge number is 3055. How can you tell if it is a 3035 or has it just had the auto bridge changed out? Do the numbers on the base mean anything or is it a serial number. Would the RSC service it this way, or would they just charge for a new auto bridge and proceed with the service. What if the movement had been completely changed out?

The 3055 has a completely different set of gears under the dial and a larger seating for dial indicator to accomodate the 2 calendar discs. Someone may have changed the auto bridge where the cal. numbers are printed but the parts are identicle except for the numbering.Rikki
