Congrats.
I’m reminded of the feeling I had in 1980. A 911SC Targa - so enjoy it Also, can’t help but identify with your parents’ choices. I had a ‘76 BMW 2002. Before that a ‘74 Fiat X1/9. Some things just stick in your mind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Great story, congratulations! Your father is smiling down and enjoying you row those gears, even in traffic! Enjoy the P car, for me I still stand in that "one day" line! Sounds like a great guy you got there also who gets "it".
Have a great weekend with your new toy!

Thank you!! Yeah, it's always been the "one day." The day came sooner than i thought :) Thank you!! Thank you so much. I know he does :) Thank you! Thank you!! :D Thank you :) Thank you! yes, me too!! Quote:
They all came from the rally and had to be street legal. They were loud and obnoxious, never had heat, seats that bend so i could get in an out as a kid, without having to push with my little feet when dad said "now" just to get in and out of the car. for a little girl, that was embarrassing. the boys all thought it was cool. I grew up saying that my first car will be a VW golf, with carpet, radio, heat, rollable windows etc. and it was. It was a 1974 Golf I, (aka Rabbit here) My second Golf, a year later, already had H&R springs. The third one had H&R springs, momo steering wheel, and some bits and ends. I guess you just can't run away from what's in your veins. Thank you! Quote:

i just went for a test ride with my step dad and he was grinning ear to ear and said both he and mom are super proud. He said what we all know, the car is all it needs to be. I have a great family and I am aware of it and appreciate it! <3

Awesome pickup. Congrats. Love the black and the manual!!
No matter how many porsches I've owned and sold - the itch to get another 911 always keep coming back around, and I might pick up another one up shortly as well. The hard part sometimes is deciding which model to buy ;) Enjoy her I know it will keep you smiling ear to ear. |

Awesome, congrats! I may have been the first person on the original thread to suggest that you absolutely will now need a Daytona, but there's something you will need before that. Zymol carbon wax. My buddy has a black 991.1 C4S and Zynols his. I had a black 911 in the mid/late '90s and got introduced to Zymol. It's tough to keep black looking great and non-swirly, but Zymol will do the trick. And then it will stay looking AWESOME!
Enjoy your beauty. I have a 7 speed 991 Cab and between that and my Daytona, they are my two favorite splurges EVER. I smile every time I think about either one (911 is 4 1/2 years old, Daytona is 1 1/2). It doesn't wear off.

1. 911 - check 2. Zymol 3. Daytona :D I'll check the Zymol. They did coat the whole car with something, that i can't even tell you what it is. They said won't need to wax it ever. As i was all hyped, i don't recall what it was, but i'll ask. I should probably buy a thing of Zymol, so i can check off things on the list LOLOLOL You are right! Love the wheels! Quote:

I wish and hope i'll find a photo good enough where TRF can help me identify his watches. I know one was omega, but no idea which. The photos I came across it, you can't really tell :(
