Tritium-nova dial yay or nay?

Is tritium-nova dial a deal breaker for you? Looking to get a piece but it’s a late U series, likely with a tritinova dial. Plus point is it’s full set with a really solid case . Personally would want a tritium dial and watch it age as time goes by, but really like the overall package of the watch at the same time.

LumiNova and Super-LumiNova are trademarked and patented names belonging to the Japanese company Nemoto. Tritium paint is just that and there is no such thing as Tritium-nova. Tritium paint ceased being used in 1997 due to changes in the regulations surrounding its use. It can still be used as a gas in sealed vials such as those used by the Ball and Luminox brands.

What I meant is Tdials but the lume plots are luminova instead of tritium.

If original to the watch, I suspect any such may become collectible/desirable due ti it’s limited run.
But only if the dial was born in the case and it can be proven.

Imo of course

Yeah don‘t think there is a problem with it but the color change of the lume on a true T dial on a 16520 is something fantastic (both black and white dial version) which you obviously won‘t get with luminova.

I wouldn't sweat it, especially if everything else about the watch checks out. And I actually appreciate all the idiosyncrasies of the transitional variations.

I think you answered your own question here. There’s nothing wrong with it as others have said, assuming it’s the original dial to the watch. But like you, I’d like a tritium dial that will age over time in my personal collection over a t dial with Luminova. Just a matter of opinion I’d say.

I see you posted another, similar thread. Did you determine for sure that the Daytona dial was luminova but stamped "T?" Not sure I've seen that on a 16520 before. Can you post photos of the watch, or a link to the sales listing?

Deal breaker for me. Plenty of original examples of these but for me it's all tritium or bust.
