The curse of joke Island

Anybody watch this series? I have never seen grown men kid themselves so much. They find trash, albeit old trash, nothing that can’t be explained by recorded visits to the island in history, and make up incredible theories from the holy grail to the ark of the covenant to Shakespeare’s lost writings. Here is a typical example of these delusional people. A recap of the episode where they find a piece of trash, confirm it’s old and mined in Europe, and excitedly exclaim it is proof there is treasure buried close by.

IT’S A PIECE OF METAL!!!!!

They’ll never find anything.

Or.... Oak Island disclosure imminent?

There have been a ton of documentaries made about Oak Island.

The only ones making money on it are the people making documentary/reality shows about it.

Buried treasure has it's own allure I guess.

I think they saw the popularity of "Gold Rush" on Discovery and decided to cash in.

My wife and her brother are obsessed with this show, she keeps telling me they are going to find treasure and all they seem to find are strips of wood or metal here and there ..... they did find that cross which was kinda cool but other than that it’s been sticks and metal, I don’t really pay much attention to it when it’s on as I’m looking for my next watch

First off, Nicolas Cage already found most of the world's treasure.
And second, we know where those other items are. The Holy Grail is in a castle, guarded by Frenchmen, and the Ark of the Covenant is tucked away somewhere in a very large warehouse.

I watch the show and find it mildly entertaining. They have spent a lot of money and so far not much for there efforts. The Island is rich in history and there was probably treasure there at one point.

However in 1795 it was rumored the McGinnis family discovered 3 chests with one of the gold crosses from a chest being shown by a family member that was handed down in the family.

If theres anything else left other than odds and ends of stuff lost in time, no one knows. They are closing in on the fabled Money Pit so if theres anything left in there it should be found or something related should be found. Because if it isnt I dont see the use of continuing the hunt.
