The Ridge wallet
I wasn’t sure I was going to like it being I’ve only had leather wallets. So far I could not be happier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Subscribed. This is on my radar. Interested in people’s thoughts. In particular cash strap vs money clip.

Looks cool !
Would take a lot for me to move away from my money clip though. Usually just two cards, a few notes for emergency and my work ID Keeps it compact in my pocket

The Ridge wallet
I have one, after owning 2 knock-offs with the same design that were crap, I can tell you to just buy the real thing. I have the strap on mine, and since the strap is replaceable, you could certainly have this as your wallet for the next 30 yrs and it shouldn’t fall apart - it’s well made and solid. I love mine and would recommend it.

I like the concept, but not a fan of folding bills in quarters.

Not for me.
Looks too thick and bulky. I never carry that many cards so I guess that's the reason. |

With regards to the money clip debate part of the thread, I cant remember the last time I had any cash, I really cant think of the last time I paid for anything with cash.

Yeah I get it. It’s not for everybody. Especially if you font like folding the bills. With what I have in it it’s 1/2 thick and pretty much weighs as much the 7 credit cards that is in it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I always carry enough cash to cover anything that I would buy with a card, like meals, emergency stuff etc. So generally one hundred to three hundred dollars. Large Bills. I've had cards cloned and credit declined so I always have enough cash to use as backup to cover most things. |

I like minimalist wallets, even though I have a gaggle if traditional wallets as well. I’ve been using the Trayvax Contour for over a year now almost daily. Ridge was a close second when I was looking into these.

I’ve never had an issue with the cash strap but for a few bucks order a money clip and you’ll have both .

I could tell it's not for me just by looking at how thick it is.

Question to those who own these: are the cash straps or clips removable? Can I use this for cards only?

I just bought the Walletera front pocket in leather, minimalist @ 27. Has a middle easy slot for cash, folds in half. Small with plenty of room.

The website states that the cash strap is slightly slimmer than the money clip, which is good to know. How do you like handing quarter folded bills?

Normally I don’t carry around that much cash. So to me it’s not a big deal. For the times I’m going out big Willie style I put my cash in a separate money clip in my front pocket. other than that the wallet goes in my back pocket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

These always interested me but as someone who wears their wallet in their back pocket I'll probably never pick one up.
