America's Cup Seamaster Diver 300M Chrono

Looks like this was released yesterday. Their second America's Cup watch for 2021. Couple new features on here like the chrono lock that locks down all the pushers. But the one that really got my attention is the quick release strap and bracelet. I have a feeling we will be seeing this across the Omega line before too long. As for the watch, not my cup of tea but certainly interesting. All I can picture is an old police car when I see those chrono pushers

Not bad, although at 44mm it’s too big for me. And you’re right about the pushers, either stainless or both blue

The right subdial is kind of interesting too. Instead of an hour and minute hand they have a wide minute hand and the hours are displayed in a cutout window similar to a date wheel.

I think this watch is crazy good. If only it was smaller... 44mm / 17mm is a beast.

It's a nice watch for those who like the complications. It's not for me. The regular Pro Diver 300 is more my speed. A bit steep at $10k as well.

Interesting, to see it on others wrist :)
Too many colours for my taste but I can see me wear it on my yacht ...wait, don't have a yacht :)))

A very cool piece. That Chrono lock is neat but I've never been a big fan of these vs. the normal line for as long as I can remember. Maybe this one can get my thinking differently, who knows.

Love the idea of the quick release strap. For omega this is definitely a good idea since they are strap monsters.

America's Cup Seamaster Diver 300M Chrono

I didn’t pay much attention to the details in the OP post
but seeing the new quick release for the bracelet looks like future proof for the entire line.

$15,000 AUD here in OZ. Ambitious pricing.

A lot of firsts on this - chrono lock / quick release strap/bracelet.

Does anyone know if this strap fits the 8900 43.5 PO?

The quick release is awesome and I hope it makes its way to the rest of the sport watches.
Ideally it will be backwards compatible. Even more ideal will be the quick release end links are fully comparable.

Love the idea of quick release, I wonder if the release button will be noticeable on the wrist. Especially on the rubber one it looks as if you’d feel the button dig into the wrist a bit based on the location, hope that I am proven wrong because it’s a game changer!

I thought this too. It looks great but given where it is there must be a chance of pressure releasing it unintentionally. I guess we will find out once we see it.

I picked up mine on Wednesday but after taking it home, unpacking and trying, I have decided to send it back.
This watch is massive, too bulky, the bracelet is too wide I think and even though it feels all right with rubber strap, I think is a bit too expensive for what it is.
I have a PO 43.5 and an SD43 and both watch feel and looks much smaller.

Did you take any pictures? I would love to see some real world shots of this watch.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. I like large watches but I even think this one may be a bit too big.

I’m def excited to see the quick release work it’s way through the line

Think of how many new bracelets and straps they can sell now since it’s basically a spring bar release system - if it’s reverse compatible they could sell TONS
