Assuming we are talking about retail price at an AD, I'd say SS Daytona panda. Some say Skydweller in blue but I don't think the skydweller is as hyped as the Daytona...just look at secondary market prices.

At retail, regular catalogue models:
Probably Daytona, Blue SkyD, BLRO, BLNR, LV, in that order. All very easy to get if you pay the gray price. |

From what I'm told Green dial daytona is more difficult than the meteorite GMT. A small AD gets 1 meteorite every 2 years. A green dial daytona every 3-4 years.

Most SS profesional models are hard to get from an AD. Now with lockdown and lack of tourists (Read: Chinese) buying everything from the stores I was hoping for some luck and have been calling around...but it's useless of course (of course I expected this, but you never know! It's how I got my BLNR.
Prices on Chrono24 for SS Daytona and skydweller (blue) are going through the roof, double than listed price!Absolutely insane! |

Ive heard that the blue dial SkyDweller is the rarest one to get. all the others come in somewhat often but they have a wait list a mile long

According to most ADs, the hardest one to get is the one you ask for. Unless it’s in the case.

He said black Daytona (in terms of demand and waitlist) is #5. It all depends on your local market so YMMV but some combo of the above is likely. I just asked him out of curiosity when picking up my LV last week. He said Batman and Pepsi are all 1 yr or less waits for his top clients, then going up the ladder he currently has a 4 year wait on LV and a TBD on white Daytona. I think LV will fall down over time for sure. Sky dweller is rare only because of it’s production #’s so demand will stay high there. AD said they get a blue sky-d once or twice every 6 months which is insanity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Likely some combo of the above, but YMMV in your market. That “ranking” is based on waitlists when I was chatting with my guy while picking up my LV last week. My AD waitlist for the LV is 4 years for top clients, and skydweller is 2-3years . Pepsi is 1 year . White Daytona is a TBD it has so much demand. It will all shift over time as LV likely will cycle out in terms of over the top demand. I would also suspect 1, maybe 2 models from the 2021 release to temporarily jump up the unobtainable lists Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

See, I’ve had opposite experiences! Took me 1 year to get black Daytona , 1.5 for white , don’t have a skydweller, LV took 6 months , Pepsi was just under 1 year. I think LV is high right now just because it’s brand new, but will fall with subsequent new releases. It’s really different store to store and country to country I’d assume . My guess is my market (Denver) isn’t as sophisticated or frequent of a buyers market as a whole than London or the UK in general so more folks here may be blindly going for the hype pieces or buying one and done. Just speculation though. All I care about are my personal wait times at the end of the day, so this list is moot for me! I think the reality is EVERY model is the most difficult to get if you don’t have the spend history and relationship with your AD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Of course the Rainbow Daytona, however, this model does not even enter the conversation regarding ‘hardest to get”....unless of course, you are a celebrity or in the top .00001 of wage earners. As for the rest of us, the 116500, or White Daytona, is likely going to be the one you will have the most difficult time attaining at retail. Not to exclude the Blue Skydweller’s elusiveness, it simply just doesn’t sniff the relative demand of the Daytona, therefore, making it a pinch easier to get one from your favorite AD.

None as if you believe every think you read on forums you have to be a VIP customer and spend a £1 zillion to even get one of these so called hot models. Got to ask why then as most all grey dealers have all these hot models at crazy prices. So do these so called VIP customers buy then flip to the grey dealers. And if you believe the countless posts on forum about ADs tracking sales, and if you dare sell instant blacklisted then surely all so called VIP customers would be black listed. Or do the ADs by reports on forum sell directly to the greys, thus putting there Rolex dealership and livelihood in jeopardy which is highly unlikely.

OP - I'd say least produced is probably the GMT Meteorite due to the finite availability of the material used... they can't just churn them out.
I think there are too many variables determining 'Hardest to get'... a significant Rolex customer base can afford and justify the Panda Daytona at Retail and as such it's like playing the lottery trying to pick one up... even though there are LOADS on the secondary market. Green Daytonas - I think the novelty is purely hype. I'd say it has to be the Meteorite GMT. And I can see this becoming even more sought after and harder to attain from AD or Grey once the new Daytona Meteorites come to market and raise the profile of Meteorite dials. |
