"Nice watch"

Got my first "nice watch" comment in a long time just now. Respectable gentlemen leaving a dry cleaners on lower East side of Manhattan. I am outside texting the wife. He drops the line, doesn't break step, casually continues with his day :)

Obviously a WIS as I had the WG Daytona on which isn't particularly blingy. Made my day!

Very cool and a nice watch! I have never seen that WG dial with a full bracelet!

It's one of the best one-liners to hear from a stranger. Maybe except "those models at the end of the bar bought you a round."

I'm sure that the compliment brightened your day, OP.

They really don't get much "nicer" than that, IMHO.

My favorite dial in white gold, picture really don’t do it justice. So nice in the flesh

Dude, I can totally relate.

I have a watch that IS particularly blingy and hardly get any compliments. Just stares. It sucks.

Haha :)

Thanks for the kind words. It wasn't meant to solicit watch approval from the forum, more to highlight how a casually delivered one-liner made my day :) Much better than the "is it real?" questions we so often get!

As a one time NY’er, I pretty much have a picture of the guy and how it transpired in my head. And that is a nice watch.
