Not sure how I feel about the 2 black hands and 2 white hands. Cool strap though

42 ROO Ti 'Ghost'
Looking better in those last two pics, thanks for sharing - is that a grey ceramic bezel ? I’m sure the early prototypes had black, although so long ago now hard to remember I actually think in person this will look pretty cool, but maybe hard to translate across via photos as it all depends on the ceramic finish.

I think there’s too much contrast between the chronograph dials, the tachymeter scale and the rest of the grey dial to make this truly monochromatic and I think that’s what making it a “meh” for me. Certainly when compared to the AP website images and my expectations/desires for this watch. Am sure that some with love it tho and keen to see some incomings here...

What’s with the black hands and almost matte bezel? I was looking forward to acquiring one but now not so sure

Hmmm so bits I like some I now don’t!
Will need to see it in person to decide but a part of me thinks it needed a splash of colour but then I don’t know it the likes of red, orange or yellow would of worked The 26400IO does it better IMO |

Bezel is grey ceramic with vertical brushing and that part looks great... but agree that color scheme of 26400IO does it much better.... full white tachy and addition of white Arabic numbers on this smaller dial kills that stealth look I was looking for... I was expected something between this and Elephant/old Ti in colors look... also, subdial black hands looks too much pronounced on these pics...

I can’t tell if the watch is that sublime, the black and white feel is so strong, it looks like it not real

hmmm... a bit meh in these pics. need to see a wrist shot and in person i suppose.
maybe the long wait and high expectations ruined it for me? not sure... but yeah it looked great in the catalogue and on the website. not so much in these pics. |

Yeah.. from these photos, it's kind of underwhelming to be honest. I was expecting the grey ceramic bezel to stand out like Cermet but looks like it's not. I will reserve final judgement until I have seen it irl.

Thanks Ben. Looks rather underwhelming. Grey is really dull on this one.

It does look a bit too grey and therefore a bit bland for me, always my issue with grey watches on SS, maybe a black bezel would have been better to punch it up and give more contrast, but I think it will look much better irl. |

I think the big issue with those pics is the lack of colour contrast. Looking back again at the website image https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/wa....OO.A006CA.01/ the bezel looks black, making the dial really stand out. Defo one to see in person I think.

42 ROO Ti 'Ghost'
Thanks for these! Since SIHH I’ve been pining for this watch. The grail for me is a titanium diver with ceramic bezel. I love this size and the small button surrounds but I do think the 44 mm titanium looks better somehow. Maybe the number clutter the dial on the 42 mm. That said it’s close to what I was looking for. Back in March I stopped by the ny boutique and they brought in a sample of the ss 42 with ceramic bezel. I had been speaking with Clearwater and they arranged for the ss to be there when I was in ny several weeks later. I did like it overall but wasn’t jaw dropped like when I first say the white faced 44mm or the ceramic diver. One horrible thing is the rubber strap. It seems more plastic than rubber and the two tone, although more subtle with grey and black, doesn’t seem upscale to me. I’ll be switching to a regular diver grey or black for sure. I’ve included pics of the ss version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
