Two incoming with a British flair...

First time getting two watches in one week, especially since I don't consider myself a "serial watch buyer". My collection is mostly about small run watches or somewhat unusual watches, and I feel both of those watches fill at least one of this requirements.

Since I acquired the GMT Tudor last year I have been looking into getting a second one, I am really getting into the Tudor brand, it's the same attraction that got me into Rolex many, many years ago: A really well made tool watch that keep great time and can take it. So my second Tudor as it turns out is an Harrods edition. There are a lot of things I like about this watch, it is the first Black bay with ft first, I love the hint of color on the second hand, the somewhat desaturated green bezel, etc... lot's of first in one model which fits my collection well. And of course as its GMT counterpart, is super comfortable to wear.

My second incoming isn't a well known brand unless you collect military watches. It's the Vertex MP45. If you don't know, Vertext is one of the "Dirty dozen " watch companies who supplied the Allied Forces during WW2 and is making a come-back.
I was very intrigued when the M100 came out, then forgot about it and recently I read about Vertex again with it's second modern offering and knew right away I needed to get one. It is limited to 400 samples, 200 auto and 200 manual. I got the manual. I couldn't be more please, very well built, has a ton of unusual details, such as the numbers on the dial are cut out of a super luminova sheet and are 3 dimensional ( hard to see from the picture ) it also comes with 2 high quality Nato, a rubber band and a leather band. The surprise was a personal note typed on a vintage typewriter by Don Cochran. Love that personal touch. I think mine may be the first in the United States.

Here are a few picts.

Fabrice,
Congrats on the new incoming!! The Harrods edition is a perfect companion with the GMT. As a chronograph fan love the Vertex as well.

I have been looking for a monopusher chrono for a while. The Bremont Arrow was and still is on my list (for a future buy maybe ; ), but at the end I went with the Vertex. I like the simplicity of the design, the narrative is great and a great way to support a new, but not so new brand, I am an industrial designer, so that kind of stuff gets me every time...
