Is the winder noisy? I purchased a relatively inexpensive winder but stopped using it because it made too much noise for my tastes. I'm fairly sensitive to noise at night and it was in my bedroom.

The Best $140 I ever spent was in a special district in Amsterdam... but that’s a different topic.

Nope. I keep it on the dresser and if it does make any noise I think its silenced because the case is closed.

Personally I don't have a need for them as I don't find them necessary and you still have to reset your watches twice a year for daylight savings.
If I had a perpetual I'd definitely have one though. As for the myths about wear and tear and the other myth about oils clogging up, well, some people like to believe in myths. When my watches stop keeping good time I have them serviced. Until then, nope. Watch longevity like life is a crapshoot. Some last for years and others don't. I just think we get to a point where our toys start owning us. |

Takes me 2minutes to set any of my watches. Personally for me, these just cause undue wear.
I do understand though if you use one because you have no quickset date and wear it every weekend. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I found that my rotation caused me to have to wind my watches 2-3 times/week. To me that seemed like a lot of use of the crown. My son bought me winder from Amazon and I'm loving the convenience of it.
