JJ time

Sometimes when I look at my watch to check the time I wonder what time it is in NZ. I have to stop and 18 hrs to my time. Like now it's 1:40pm there. Right? As of Sunday it will be 19hrs due to daylight savings time. So when I'm goofing off here at 5:00am, JJ is fully involved in his workday.
How about some other guys out there tell us your time difference. I live in the EST time zone in the USA. Not sure what it is in GMT time.

I am one hour behind you Paul, CST. I just subtract 6 hours from my time and that is JJ time, but one day ahead.

New Zealand is in reality the Land of the Rising Sun......we see the new day FIRST....followed by the Eastern coast of Australia (like Melbourne, Sydney).....then Japan, Hong Kong and so on as you move West.

The farthest from us is Hawaii....a full 22 hours behind us.

Time what a wondrous thing, but there never seem to be enough of
it when you need it most.

That's why I got one of these

Then all I have to do is look on the city ring and I can see what time it is in JJ land or Padi country.

And who invented time zones? Wasn't it Sir Sanford Fleming?

Ah yes... and to think it all came out of trying to keep the Canadian Pacific Rail Road on time, so schedules could be kept, born out of his engineering of the CPR RR to the west coast, linking British Columbia, through then Rupert's Land with the rest of the new Dominion of Canada. He also discovered the dinasaur burial grounds in Alberta, didn't he?

Fleming doesn't get the credit he deserves.

True, Daren. I have this beautiful vintage 18K YG Corum, mechanical wind, but I never wear it. It's too plain, even though it looks great with a tux.
