Warning: Deep Sea with counterfeit blue dials

In the past couple of weeks I've come across a real Deep Sea that had a very obviously counterfeit blue dial installed, and an independent watch dealer who pulled out a similar dial while I was looking at a used Deep Sea and asked about a Deep Sea blue. The transition from blue to black was very uneven (not level at all) and the printing on the dial looked sloppy. The color of the green printing didn't look like the correct shade. I would be extra careful buying a used Deep Sea blue.

Yes be careful
On some blues it does not even give any indication on the warranty card that it was originally a Deep Sea Blue

All the Uk cards have D Blue on it but not world wide this has been covered in another thread as another member only had the ref and nothing else he eventually got rolex to issue a statement that not all warranty cards have D Blue on them
