Any opinions on whether I should purchase a Tudor Day/Date or a Rolex Day/Date? Your thoughts are appreciated!

If you got the Tudor you would probably need to change your user name. That's a pain - stick with the Rolex.

I have always been attracted to the Tudor DD and have owned a Rolex DD (18038).
Tudor DD is a $1500 watch vs a $9,000 Rolex DD watch. Rolex DD only came/comes in precious metals, Tudor Day Dates came in stainless steel.

Whats your budget?

I can go either way. I am attracted to the Tudor with black dial and smooth ss bezel. If I get the Rolex, then I will have to get smooth white gold or platinum to get the look I want.

Will both last for generations, or is the Rolex more likely to be something to pass on to my son? It is a watch I plan to wear every day.

I have had 2 tudor day dates, the regular and the "jumbo." neither held my attention very long. I do, however, want to add a tudor thunderbird to my collection.

Nothing wrong with the Tudor but for non-sport models like the DayDate I would go with Rolex.

Why do you say that 1William? Is the Rolex more water resistant? Or just more appealing as a non sport model?
