Posted this in Role and Tudor topics...but
Maybe I am being paranoid, but I would like your advice on the end links of my GMT 16750.
I took off the bracelet and put on a leather strap, then replaced the bracelet. I noticed that one of the end links above 12 o'clock is uneven with the lugs, i.e. it seems to sink below the lugs as if I may have bent it. While this is obviously nothing major, is there an easy way to adjust this? or am I over reacting and should enjoy this vintage piece as it is? (I have to admit, I do like some of the niks and dings on it...adds character like it has been somewhere and has a story to tell). This also may be due to the fact that I am no accustomed to the loose nature of vintage jubilee bracelets; I am accustomed to modern machined solid steel oyster bracelets. Thanks for your advice everyone :) Nathan |

Not end of the world but get a watch guy familiar with Rolex bracelet work to fix the endlinks. If they are bent in the wrong place they can wear the watch case & engravings even faster than normal.

There are many endlinks which do not line up perfectly with the case or lugs. To be specific, you may want to tell us what the number is on the end link and we can tell you whether it is correct for the 16750.

thanks for the advice :) :) I have the 550 end link on jubilee bracelet :)
It is a slight 'dip' when compared to the end link next to the 6 o'clock. Do you have any recommendations on how I can bend it back into shape myself? Thanks again :) |
