Icon6 ...And GONZO was born

I'd like to welcome my fellow TRFers to a small project I have been working on with a good friend of mine. Introducing Gonzo Straps!

Ok folks, be honest with your comments - this is our rookie effort and we are looking for constructive critique.

We do realize that these straps are somewhat chaotic, but our goal is flawed perfection. Both the straps and cases are hand-cut, sewn and fitted. Like Panerai, the brand these are intended to fit, we seek simple coarseness.

Enough talking, here are some pics taken earlier today:

These are quite stiff and robust, but will soften and conform to the wearer's wrist. Except for the second pictured strap - it is made out of Buffalo leather and is soft as baby's bottom, while being no slouch in its appearance.

So, what do you fellas/ladies think?

Those straps make me want to buy a Panerai again! I love 'em - look rugged.

If I can use "cute" as a word, and not get slammed by the TRF members and you Greg, that is what they are.

Well done and I think you will do well. Quick q - what is your pricing structure? Is it too early to ask?

Thanks, Eric!

Not early to ask at all, but I cannot discuss it here - maybe via PM?

Not for me, Greg. I like to keep it simple. I can, however, appreciate the reference to Mr. Hunter S.

Will do - and the strap bag accompanies the straps in most cases!

The buffalo is soft indeed, but the calf is rather stiff. However, it does break in quite nicely.

Bryan, these won't all be complicated, we are working on a nearly stitch-less design right now.

RIP HST!

Looks unique and nice Greg. Not my style, but the construction looks of good quality. Nice to have a new unique design. Maybe it'll grow on me!

On a srs. note I do like them Greg and want my next watch purchase to be a Pam. Maybe you could put some of the straps on a watch and show a pic.

Oscar,

I don't have a Pam at the moment, but actively looking.

Bruno - next time you decide to get a Pam, I'm sure you'll walk out with some jewelry for the wife

Greg,

I can see the quality you've put in.

I would like to see simpler ones as well.

Simpler ones- got it. Thanks everyone - that helps tons. One thing we won't do is emulate OEM, but can still cover 'simple'

I think they look great Greg.

I'd like a soft dark orange buffalo 26/20 with a baby PG buckle to fit my 231 thank you.

Eddie,

that would taper quite a bit, wouldn't it? I'm always worried about the 'DSSD effect'.
