Someone mentioned that the markers look to be dug out. Is that true? Also a fellow Paneristi confirmed that the "Pig" logo will be printed on the case back. Will be released in September, this month!!

372 will NOT be an SE (as AD's are getting them). It's a 3000 piece run which is pretty high. I can see why they would make 390 an SE for boutiques.

I LOVE the 372, but starting to think 390 might make better 'everyday' piece for the wrist...we'll see. Either way, I am on it!

Either way, can't wait see them in person

I got the go ahead from the wife. Now, I just need to get the "opportunity" to pay for it!

Does the 111 stay in the stable?

That is the last one I can sell. Special meaning. I need to find out what the price of the 390 is first before saying if anything goes.

aaaaah, ok, understood. was thinking that since you seem so squarely in the RAD camp, you might not want to have two luminors.

Well, NY Boutique cannot confirm its existance. They said it is quite possible, but they have not been given any information about numbers, etc. This guy didn't sound so happy. Sounds like he has been answering the same question for the 1/2 hour they have been open.

i know there are a LOT of differences (47mm vs. 44mm, lumnior/rad blend case vs. historic luminor, new in-house movement vs. old ETA workhourse, plexi vs. (probably) saphire), but, it's hard to understand PAM's thinking with this one.

the 372 isn't even out yet and they come out with an SE at a random time of the year, and, from what people are saying here and elsewhere, there seems to be quite a few people who may have stretched to get the 372 who now are drawn to the 390....it being smaller, more practical and (it seems) half the price (if, as someone said, it might be $7K instead of the speculated $4,500, THAT might cause some people to hesitate btw the 372 and 390).

i find myself liking the 390 for all the reasons i don't like the 372....372 is too big for me & likely sits too tall, too expensive (two-hand SS for $10K?), plexi...

(edit: i see now on p .com that the 390 is maybe meant for boutiques that didn't get a 400-series SE...ok, well, if true, the 390 makes more sense to me now.)

One can almost guarantee that the 390, if released, will be at or above what the "Boutique Editions" are listed for (~$6900 USD). This will make it hard for many folks to decide between it and the 372.

My bad, I thought they listed for more than that. I stand corrected.

I would still suspect, however, that the 390 would list for well above the Boutique Editions.

Well, if the 390 is the "112 SE", like the 400 boutiques were the "111 SEs", then you'd think it'd be slightly less?

No word on price. I'll let you guys know if I find out anything. But I'm guessing the same as the 416/417, etc. Those where $5100 I think. Not confirmed that number is just off the top of my head.

One could hope, but the 360 is "just a PVD 000" and it was ~$6700 (IIRC).

Point is: I don't think OP has a rhyme or reason for their pricing, nor do they need to.

Buddy Mik.. i think after all the work you did researching.. I would vote a big YES... you deserve one!!

I exchanged emails with the boutique and they said they will come back to me. So, the attitude is.. let's wait and see!

Best,

Fred

Thanks Fred!

I'm thanking Anthony big time for posting this.
Big time

I imagine the boutiques were pretty frustrated today getting so many calls about a 390 and they have no idea what it is. Beverly Hills and Boca were very nice, but I can tell the guy from NYC was getting sick of the calls. Boca told me to call them back tomorrow, so I will. Bevery Hills said they would email the second they had confirmation of it from Panerai.

Fingers crossed again!
