Before you do, here is a pix of their 'once' favourite watch.

You wont believe,I was still hunting "very soughtafter watches" and I already knew that I would buy a PAM.It was just a question of when.
What I didnt know was how soon after that 104 arrived, the others would go !! All replaced by various PAMs.

Panerai .... I just absolutely adore them !!!
Guys,

I know what you mean, and Ive only been a PAM owner for about a month. Until a few days ago, I was sure that a DSSD would be my my next purchase. But now i'm torn between a PAM 292 or a 287. Rolex is a great brand, and for me the Submariner is the true iconic Rolex to have. I've got that and really enjoy wearing it. But now I want style, elegance and simple sophistication. And there can only be one brand that can meet that criteria.
As Chris says "PANERAI : So Much More Than Just a Watch!"

Yup, I'm planning to flip my Sub ND COSC & Date 15210 for 312 or 190.
Let see what happen next...

so after 20 years of Rolex ownership and over 18 different models I have found myself now wearing a 112. It's a great watch and my Daytona does not get used anymore. I do still love Rolex though

It's so funny to hear you say that. I was so thrilled when I got my 116523, that was until I got my PAM 104. Now my Daytona gets almost zero wrist time, and I'll probably be getting rid of it when I get the call for the PAM 28.

Maybe we all have a little TR (TruRisti) in us. My 111 and 233 dominate the wrist and with several different straps, I can wear aa different combo every day.

After 7 years of Rolex ownership,I now just own Panerai. No Rolex anymore.I respect the brand, but dont see myself buying one again, especially after Basel 2009 and seeing the direction they are heading.Disappointing.

Like you wearing a 112,I love wearing my 111

We know that some of the Pams have the eta movement which is not as precise or the quality of our Rollies but we still favor our pams.

Once you go big...

lol

Very true statement.

TR, I have been there as well...after my first 111G back in 2004...my Sub never got any wrist time.

None. And the obsession began....panny this and panerai that...its okay as Rolex has stood the test of time...

you'll come back to the Rollie because that is just the way it is...I am speaking from experience and I have been through a 111, 113, 112 and a 252....

You'll find that love again for your rollies...eventually.

Enjoy your Pams in the meantime!

But with the new ceramic bezel, I think the future of Rolex sport models are still very nice and promising...

Biggest winner from Basel 2009 was the new tt black Sub,but that all.Not the blue because since they brought in the ceramic bezel, they have destroyed the original blue.I still prefer the metal insert models.

Rolex sportmodels will always sell well.
