Just pulled the trigger on my very first PATEK and looking forward to having it first thing in the AM on Friday. I just seen another thread talking about this watch and that caused me to go out right now and buy it... Darn you guys on the other thread..:)!

My hero, may I ask why would you consider 40mm instead of 42mm

It has thin bezel and wide dial so can wear a bit big, but makes it more sporty.

Congrats OP!

For my wrist size too big. Welcome back Danestaff or Dlindsay? Are you going to play nice with the forum members.

I'm confused too, on one post you say Dlindsay is 'that Karl guy' and on the other post you say Dlindsay is Danestaff. Is 'that Karl guy' = Danestaff?

Exactly...the dial is nowhere near that blue...ever. Looks black most of the time.

None the less... big congratulations, on a great watch! You’re going to love it!

My watch is out for delivery this am via FEDEX and sure looking forward to receiving my very first PATEK..

I would like to finish this watch off with a Patek Deployment Clasp in White Gold. Does anyone know if I will have to purchase another Patek Strap or can the one that comes with this watch work..? Also where here in States would I be able to find the deployment buckle and roughly how much does on cost from Patek Dealer..?

Congrats. I have the same piece and it’s one of my favorites. As far as deployant clasp- you would need to custom order that from the ad and it will require a new strap.

I’m not sure the cost of a white Gold but I got a deployant in platinum for my 5905 and with the strap I think it was like $4500. White gold is probably 1/2 the cost I’m guessing?

Be prepared for a long wait and frankly if I had to do it all over again I don’t k is that I would order a deployant- I kinda like the buckle strap.

Oh I am still just in awe of this watch and have zero complaints about the Clasp or Strap as I was just wanting to "PATEK" it up a bit more. I am a stickler for not modifying any watch I own but was thinking to get the Deployment if it was a option offered by PATEK..

I really love this watch and would not mind owning the rose gold version too..Thanks for your input..
