Luxury Eyewear

I just recently started wearing glasses. Can some members show me some of their premium frames/brands?

I was a fan of Matsuda frames before my surgical vision correction.

I rather like Oakley one of the few brands of eyeglasses without ear hooks(librarian style glasses?). The area behind my ears is quite sensitive and I end up hating conventional glasses.
On balance though Oakley quality has lapsed since their loss of independence. Their new owners are bean counters pure and simple lowering material and construction quality. They have also lost a bit of their bonkers edge too.
I’ll be searching for an alternative next time but if it’s Oakley or nothing the Oakley it is.

Check out EB Meyrowitz.

Bespoke frames made from real horn - not endangered species - and custom acetate.

The best script frame is the one that looks best and is comfortable for you.

Personally, I like the way RayBan wayfarer sunglasses frames fit. For years, I pull the sun lenses out and have my script added. Sunglass frames are more durable and come in more colors and sizes and if you lose them, easily replaceable.

Luxury Eyewear

Thanks for the input thus far. I will look into all mentioned. I bought a pair from the brand Lunor. Any thoughts on that brand? I also bought a pair from Mykita. And a pair from Cartier.

I think I’m more conservative. Less gaudy. I am a dentist. So something that gives off “professional.”

Try everything, then try “silhouette”. I’ve been in glasses since second grade (I’m now in my 40s). Silhouette is the only brand that I buy anymore. The weight factor makes them absolutely ideal.

So many choices...here's a good place to start for brand options:

http://www.luxottica.com/en/eyewear-brands

I prefer some of the Oakley and Ray Ban designs.

I prefer wire, half-frame glasses.

I also prefer a flexible metal.

I like the look and the prices are good.

I don't want glasses with a designer logo on them.

I don't cut corners on lenses. To me that's the luxury part.

I have a pair of Salt for outdoor wear that I love and have found to be both comfortable and extremely durable.

For everyday use, I am on my second pair of Orgreen titanium frames. I love these and they have a wide variety of styles.

Sadly, both brands are quite expensive.

I also had a pair of lindbergs that I liked, but they seemed to be less resilient to my active lifestyle.

Their ear socks work real nice for me both for reading glasses and sun glasses.

I wear the Kawasaki rimless. You don't even see them on my face and they are super lightweight.

I have prescription RayBan Wayfarer for sunglasses.
