No, have a little place down in the Pinedale WY. I travel up the valley on 93 via motorcycle every couple of years, through Polson, Kalispell, Whitefish, Eureka, etc. Sometimes go east to Polebridge, or go west to the Yaak Valley and on to ID. That area of MT is SPECTACULAR !

Last ride at the family guest horse ranch in MT before we leave for home on Monday. We’ve had a lot of fun helping run operations during the peak season this summer and plan to be back again next year.

The one I am wearing has the family brand on it and those are not for sale. We do have some more with the ranch name / horse rider on it coming in next week.

Went paddling again on Foys Lake, which is less than 10 minutes from the ranch. Oso went along for the ride this time too. It’s been a great couple of months up here even with all the employee drama we’ve dealt with, and it will be hard to leave tomorrow.

Hike to Arrow Lake in Mammoth CA today. Getting colder 53° out on trails but the leaves have not starting to change yet, a few more weeks and they will.

I’ve trekked thousands of miles of trails and came across one of these for the first time. He really surprised me. Super dark black. The diamond pattern looked like it had been drawn on him with a stick of chalk. The rattler looked like it had been forged out of steel. He was about 4 feet long and very aggressive. Stumbled across him at about 8,000 ft elevation.

It looks like a new pair of boots and a bowl of chili to me.

Gorgeous snake!! I don’t kill them unless they’re actively trying to hurt me, my family or my stock. Usually just relocate em if found on the property. Just had about a 6’ rat snake in one of the barns. (Figured he was doing his job and I’d leave him be) (I know it doesn’t compare to a rattlesnake).

Deer gun season starts tomorrow morning. This guy walked through the yard this evening and started rubbing and scraping. Beautiful buck. As with almost all of my nature shots, these were taken through the family room window.

Those were Bryce and Antelope.

Here is a trail in Escalante. We stayed at Yonder. We did a two week trip. First week or so was Antelope, Escalante, Bryce & Zion. Then spent a week in Scottsdale at Phoenician.

Here is a pic from a trail in Escalante. And Phoenician. Wife and I did Camelback (Echo) as well one AM.

Completed the narrows in Zion. Complete bottom up to falls and back. Took 8 hours. Started at trailhead at sunrise. We were on the first bus leaving the transport center to trailhead. On the hike to waterfall (first half) we had 5 people in front of us. Saw a total of 10 people or so for the first 5-6 hours. Then when we were almost back to trailhead in water, it was so packed. Felt like Magic Kingdom.

Zion - Stayed at LaFave. Cannot say enough about how great!

Plan accordingly. Groceries are so expensive. 2x-3x-4x. One store and they stick it to you. Ha.
