Agreed. Like the green on black a lot more than green on green.

I love that watch. The blue really pops and you never see one in the wild. Post some pics.

No no, you misunderstand. I meant that as in, it’s whatever they didn’t keep the green LV with green dial, as I DO think the green on black is *better*.

The only PM models still being manufactured that will sell for above MSRP after the correction is through are the Daytonas and Olive Dial DDs, IMO

I thought this was going to be a thread on a shattered crystal or severe road rash.

Is there a reason why the Olive Dial is so popular? It's not my taste so I can't really see the desirable but would like to know from someone who does like it.

What just a few days ago used to be $59,575 has no become $47,500.

POOF !

It’s all good. Price is so low that SMURF may become a beater. Might as well wear it ! It’s not an investment ……or even as valuable as I once thought.
The one you see now was mine. I sold it to David and purchased a new WG Sub from my AD in Fla. The higher priced one was a different watch. Not sure what it sold for.

At this point, wear the hell out of it.... no point in letting it sit in a safe

Wake me up when it's around $30k for lightly used like several years back.

I bought mine for 32K incl tax new from an AD 5 years ago. It's probably my most worn watch - wear it much, much more than my Patek 5167A for example.

I love the heft, the hue of the gray/white gold and its wearability on a hot day. And, it's quite versatile.

Interestingly, in 5 years of ownership I've never seen another one in public. Seen plenty of other Rolexes, Pateks etc. But never another Smurf.

I contemplated selling it a week ago - for more than I bought it. But in the end, I couldn't pull the trigger. It just "works".

Wear it in good health, OP!

Never understood why this watch is so underrated. If this were in steel it would probably sell higher than the Hulk which somehow was selling int eh 30s for a little bit of time. I say bring the price down more maybe I will snag one if they ever dip in the 20s again.

I agree. I feel for those who were paying a premium on a PM rolex.

I agree! I am always a bit surprised by how little attention it gets relative to other references. It's such a unique piece in such a great color. I think it is a really great everyday wear piece.

My AD presently has two of them and they have had them for quite some time now (although I think the price is likely why they have been slower movers in that case.)

SMURF crashes to Earth !

Bought my first Preowned at 21. Then at 25, because I missed it…. I’ll be sticking with the 126619. I like the new version better. But I did enjoy the 116619 across some years.

Bought mine from a grey dealer with some stickers for $25,500 in 2015. Still have it and wear it daily, it's my work watch. It's pretty scratched up with some dings. I love it.
