Should I get sell my 16610LV M for a 5513 Advice Please!

Hi everyone. I am fairly new to TRF and it is such a wealth of knowledge! I have been intrigued by the 5513 for sometime now, however I opted for a LV sub non ceramic which is an M serial with the rehaut. I like the LV a lot but I can't get the 5513 out of my head lol! I cannot have both hence my thread. What do you guys think?

You know what kind of response you will get here in the Vintage forum. EVERYONE will tell you;

1) Get what you want and LIKE since you have to wear it NOT US!
2) You cant go wrong with a nice specimen 5513. Buy it right and take care of it and you will probably not loose money on it.
3) You should probably SELL the Sub LV (what's it worth?)and keep the cash ready to pull the trigger on the right 5513. A nice 5513 will cost anywhere from $4500 to $6500 depending on condition and if it has B & P.
4) If you ask, a number of the mods/ long time TRF vintage collectors can advise you and help you search for the watch you want within your price range.
5) DO NOT buy a vintage watch on EBAY or from an unknown vendor!!!

Just as stated above. Decide what works best for you and Go For It. Either way it's a Rolex Sub, you just cant go wrong as long as you buy it from some one you can trust and get the best example you can possibly afford and find.

If you can't get it out of your head and you have seen one in person and it really speaks to you then get it! Take your time though and get a nice original one!

The 5513 is very cool. I think you would be happy with a trade or sale as long you got the right piece. I would recommend only a recently serviced piece with original dial and bracelet with little to no stretch and a safety clasp.

Cheers!
