The new Rolex policy for AD's on SS models to slow the grey market is...

The AD will hold your watch for a year.. ... but the good news is you can keep your warranty card and box...

Also this will allow the AD's to display SS models in their case so it looks like there is no inventory problem...

That is a good one...at least the AD can make some money since they don’t get to sell SS anymore because there are none to be found..

This happened when Chrysler came out wth the new Dodge Challenger back in 2008. I walked into a dealership in the summer of 2008 hoping to see one on the floor. Sure enough they had a black SRT8 on the floor. SOLD. However, the dealer sold it to the new owner on the condition that the dealership got to keep a hold on it for 4 whole weeks before they'd hand the keys over to the new owner so that they could showcase it to potential new buyers. Ridiculous.

Social worker will make regular visits to your home to make sure you still own the watch, and that it has suitable living conditions.

Or they give you the stickers in the shape of your watch so you can still post incoming pics.
