Help! Registering my Royal Oak

Hi guys I recently purchased a 37mm 15450 OR from a friend of a friend.
It's a complete set watch is beautiful, I only have an issue registering the watch under my account on AP. I am putting in the correct serial and warranty number but the system keeps saying warranty information is incorrect. The watch is an I serial from 2015. I am 100% sure it's legit is there any other reason why I'm having trouble registering the watch?

Probably because warranty is now expired. So, you can’t “register” for any warrant, as there is none left. That is my best guess.

Yes the warranty is definitely out. But I'm just trying to add my watch to my Online AP profile. It should be added even if my warranty is out. The message that keeps popping up is " warranty details are incorrect"

Weird, I was able to put my 15400 (expired warranty) no issues and AP Clearwater was able to see it in my profile.

you can email their client services and they can probably help you. APNA.clientcare@audemarspiguet.com. They offered to remove a watch which I already sold from my online profile (since there is not such function on the website).

Expired warranty is not the reason.

Make sure you try multiple times making sure the serial number and warranty number is correct.

This happens very frequently when you have the older style warranty booklet.

Use the serial number right off the back of your watch.

It’s a glitch and you’ll be able to register by trying to click add watch or even extend warranty (obviously nothing to extent)

Yes it is the older style booklet. Yes I've tried many times to register it. The serial number on the watch is matching with the booklet serial number. One concern I have is maybe the watch is a stolen watch? It is for sure not a fake. Having medium level anxiety right now lol

Try to add by extending the warranty. See if that works

Did you put dashes in between your warranty numbers?

No dashes in between the numbers, I've tried "I-553XX" also "I553xx" also tried with the full serial. "I-553xx-xxxx"

Call Clearwater and have them look into it. Seem like the quickest fix to me.

Informative thread. I’ve reached out to APNA to help with my online Profile, as well. My ROC I bought pre-owned and only came with extract. I’ve asked APNA, but has anyone here had luck adding a watch without original warranty number to their “My Watches” Portfolio online?

From APNA: “I am sorry but we are unable to register a piece to your online account without the warranty card. I have however added it to your internal Audemars Piguet profile.”

That’s correct, you need the warranty card or page that has the warranty number to register, in addition to the serial
