First time selling on TRF

Evening, TRF

I have a watch that I would like to sell in order to obtain another piece. I have never sold a watch on this forum or any other for that matter. How do you go about doing this without references?

Welcome. Do a search, you may find some threads on the subject.
As far references, have you bought anything from more established sellers here?

I would review the rules as posted by Mailman back in 2006.

Here they are:

Consider selling to one of the trusted sellers instead of trying to sell yourself here on TRF. Otherwise, be prepared to potentially have to ship your watch to the buyer first before payment is sent to you, especially if your buyer has references and a reputation on the forum that proceeds yours. If you do sell on your own, be very careful and do your due diligence on your buyer.

Just place your sales ad, it might be easier then you think.

Lots of clear images. When a potential buyer appears, they'll want your email, phone number, and name. If you only respond between 7pm and 11pm EDT weekdays, put that in the ad. For me, a name and phone number should jibe via web search. All three? The trifecta win. Wire to your bank is safest? Maybe. I called my bank after a wire and asked, "Is the money definitely in my account?" The manager gave a smiling reply (I could "her her smile") and assured me it was.

Shipping: I like the way Rolex wants a watch shipped. Plain brown paper wrapping, paper security tape, write address directly on the paper wrapping, USPS Registered Mail. There are many shipping options, though.

You should go thru a Trusted Seller like Sohail, Takuya, David SW, Justrolexes, ocrolex, bodybump to name a few.

They will give you credit for your Rolex, and then sell you the Rolex of your dreams.

They will make it very easy, as all you have to do is send them your Rolex. Don't just send anyone your watch. ask here about who you are going to send it to first, so that we can verify they are a trusted seller

then relax and wait for your new Rolex...
