I've heard horror stories about the P-99 on several occasions. Mainly in the way of ammo feed and magazine integrity. But, nothing about the P-22. Are you sure you want to have a .22 cal. as a home/self defense weapon, though?

I wish we can guns easily in Canada, but its hard to get it here. I just want to shoot at a range, but we have to get the danged FAC.

Hence I just have airsoft pistols.

Had this one for quite some time; as you can see, I dressed it up a bit and it is super accurate for a 5" standard barreled .22 pistol.

One suggestion -- keep the hammer cocked for about a month or two when the gun is not in use. This will help weaken the spring just a little. The gun is known not to cycle very well on standard power ammunition. After some slight spring weakening, the gun will reliably eat anything you feed it!

I have a P99AS and never had any problems with the feed. It's very accurate... makes me look better than I really am.

That's good to hear, Billy. I just got another gun and narrowed my options to another Sig (229 or 239), an H&K USP compact ot the P-99. I looked around quite a bit and just heard lots of negative input on the 99, so it's good to hear some good feedback about it now

Great gun! Make sure that she learns the gun in and out. Semi-automatics are a little more complicated than a revolver. I had my wife understand fuctions in both a revolver and a Semi.
If you are ever in a situation your mind goes blank so there is no room for error. The gun is fun and cheap to shoot.

Have a blast!

I like Para Ordinance pistols. But here the laws are such that it would not be worth while purchasing one as sadly it would be a 'safe-queen' at the shooting range. Neverthless, its good to see you guys & gals showing your gear. I like USMC's mini telescopic sight, is that more for looks or what?
