Obviously because it's a fake!
BUT, that blue bezel is reminiscent of those old Cartier Subs, and they sure would look pretty with the blue dial and bezel like that!

That's a horrible fake. That can probably be had in NYC for around $15.

would you please list the flaws along with the pic?
I for one am not familiar with identifying fakes.
If they are pointed out the they may become more apparent to those of
us who don't handle a number of different Rolex models.
Thanks,

Mrdi

The first thing I was going to say is SS Blue Sub!?

Wasn't there long ago a real SS Blue Sub in limited numbers?

To my knowledge Rolex never made a SS Sub with blue dial AND bezel. If they did, it is EXTREMELY rare. Rolex did send some to Cartier that Cartier put blue bezels on, but those are not only EXCEPTIONALLY rare and expensive but also have black dials that SAY Cartier on them.
The pearl dot on the bezel at 12 o'clock is missing.
The hands are too short
The crown is too small, making the crown guards look obscene.
The model number is incorrect, and so is the hologram.
The text above 6 o'clock is not straight and aligned properly.
The cyclops is too large.
The SWISS T-25 is incorrect...it should read SWISS T<25 if it has a more recent tritum dial.
This is more MHO, but the lugs are too wide and smooth.
The bracelet is also incorrect.

Other than that, though, they did a great job...

Hope this helps!

P.S. Guys, please check my work!

Look at the pearl dots how badly placed they are on the metal, even by hand you could do a better job

This is really one of the most pathetic fakes I have seen!

Why on earth did your friend buy it? Really, he MUST have realized it was a fake!

He knows nothing about watches, just knew that im obsessed and bought it just to see if he could pass it as a real one on me.

Come on, are you kidding me????

I harrassed him so bad about it, he told me to keep it. Should I smash it and take a pic??

He's obviously been in the business a long time -- check out his vintage Horological Institute of America cap.

Plus he can meet or beat the grey marketers on price because he has low overhead and passes the savings on to his savvy clients.

Buy with confidence!
