They'd pull my Daytona Members card if I said DD.

DDate for me. I’m not a big fan of the brown trim on the Platona. Love that DD Dial!!

Ditto for me on the fluted bezel. Does anyone know why there is no fluted bezel on the Pt DD?

DD40 all they way!

The brown bezel is not my favorite, whereas the DD40 with the light blue dial goes with most everyting.

To differentiate the Platinum DD40s from the WG DD40s which come with WG fluted bezels.

Maybe, but doesn’t the ice blue dial do that already?

What makes sense to me is a fluted bezel is always gold...and it wouldn't be a full platinum watch with a gold fluted bezel....but they've been putting the gold fluted bezel with stainless....so who knows maybe eventually. I'll be first in line if they do platinum fluted bezel day date granted the dial is interesting and it's 40mm or under.

Since I have a 36 platinum DD I must go platona. Hard decision if you don’t own either

I walked in expecting to buy that exact PT DD40, I ended up with a Platona. IMHO, that DD40 can’t touch the Platona’s toes.

Having had a Daytona, no matter how silly it is, found I missed the date function so must go with this :-
