It's a Superocean Steelfish; blue might be more popular but I like the white. Most comments I hear about Breitling is how busy their dials are; this doesn't fit that description imho.

Buy a blue dial. I had one and now regret parting with it - built like a tank and a stunning looking watch.

Bummer. I wonder if he got a better offer locally or if it just didn't sell for a high enough price to make him happy?

Wow..nice watch! Is definitely NOT busy like most Breitling dials & I happen to love the old school dials. Congrats on the black dial! I bought my brother the auto colt in the ivory dial a couple yrs ago & he loves it! Gets a ton of compliments on it all the time. He says the women are SO drawn to the ivory dial & they always make a comment on it. Of course, he doesn't tell his wife this. LMAO...
Enjoy the watch!!! |

The ivory dial Colt on a a brown leather strap was the first Breitling that caught my attention and made me start looking at the brand. Sent from my iPad (so I blame autocorrect for the spellin' errs)

Thanks! I won't tell my wife how you were drawn to this one either. (J/K) I've looked at a bunch of Breitlings and truthfully this is the model I'm most drawn to. It's going to be close to the top of wearable size range so this is as large a watch that I can handle. I also loved the Ivory dial but decided on this one which I think will be more readable. The guy I'm buying it from lives really close to where I grew up and is a WIS as well. When he was making certain I wasn't a scam the opening sentence had to do with how much this has been one of his babies and that I needed to take as good care of it as he has. It's funny because we share a bunch of commonalities so that is pretty cool. I'm really looking forward to getting my first nice modern watch outside of the Rolex/Omega lines. One of the things about the first watch which was a problem was the lack of papers and box. As I looked, the more I found that Breitlings are perhaps as highly counterfeited (or more) than Rolexes. With the brand it seems especially important to be able to show provenance. So although more expensive this one has thorough provenance and it's important. |

Excellent news! I call hogwash on the "neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor dark of night" stuff, and it always seems to happens with some cool in the mail. Looks great - enjoy!! Sent from my iPad (so I blame autocorrect for the spellin' errs)
