# 1 Song when you were born ?

Ever wonder what was playing on the radio whilst your mother was going thru labor - with you, you "rotten little ingrate" ? (least that's what I hear, followed by a blow-by-blow description of all the plumbing damage I caused)

GO HERE to find out what Billboard officially lists as the number 1 song when you came into the world. Note that anyone that says
Genie in a Bottle by Christina Aguilera will get their butt kicked out on general principle: you should be playing your X-Box.

Me, I always thought it was Heartbreak Hotel by Elvis. Turns out it was Singing The Blues by Guy Mitchell.

True, if you're over 70 there are some other charts that tracked record sales, but radio play and jukebox play were a little harder to collate prior to 1940.

Excellent tune. The guy who sand lead on it just died here about three weeks ago. His brother is a big shot TV-face attorney named Geoff Feiger, I think.

Interesting side note: Macca did two tunes with MJ, Say, Say, Say and The Girl Is Mine. At the time, he was trying to re-juvenate his career post-Wings, and MJ was at his peak. Then MJ pissed him off by buying the rights to most of the Beatles songs, of which his estate still holds a sizable portion. Macca was Not Happy. No more collaborations after that.

I did not know records and phonographs were invented back then. I thought they were still drawing on the wall's.
