Speedmaster Pro

Everyone out there, im loving this forum! been said before in many newbie threads but this is the ultimate place for info so i thought id ask a question regarding an upcoming and first big dollar watch purchase for me.

I live in Australia and have priced the Omega Speedmaster Pro with the sapphire case front and back (mod 3573.50.00)- here i can get it duty free for $3800 Ausd or about $3200 USD.

Im travelling to the USA in 17 days and am not sure whether it will be worth waiting and buying when im there. If there will be no saving i would prefer and feel safer buying here before i leave.
Any advice/recommendations/past experience with dealers in the US. Btw- i will be visiting LA, Vegas, Washington DC, NYC and San Fran.

Thank you
Chris

Chris,

I'm pretty sure you can get one cheaper here in Vegas.. but not by a lot.....(MSRP is 3,780)

But after you figure in taxes, any import fees ---and of course the possibility you might not find one...

Hard to say.

Good luck on this..

Hi Chris

I bought my 3570.50 Speedy Pro from a Brisbane AD for $3100 after discount in Feb '07. At the time the duty free price was higher than I paid. I've just returned from Vegas where I checked pricing at Tourneau and although I can't recall the exact price there, I was very pleased when I realised that I had got a good deal in Brisbane.
