All three of mine 50's 60's and 80's have an open 6 one in red . The dial is aftermarket and badly done the seller should disclose this. I would also like to have have a closer look at the bracelet looks like an Italian with Rolex markings.

I happen to read the thread for Friday Wrist Check, and they were questioning a watch that had an open 6..and on my watch, all of the 6's are closed. http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=121638 I went through those posts, as well as the ones in this Wrist Check: http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=121607 Apart from the original watch that was in question, I didn't see another open 6...

You referenced that they are from 50's 60's and 80's... Do you happen to know if there a specific year they stopped using that font? Thank you again for being a patient teacher. Marie

Could be either on pretty much any model. Date wheels are often, easily and cheaply changed.

We were bonding; of course I now just got up. As a man of leisure I have great latitude in how I live my life. This morning I chose to reset the time on two non/quick and a double/quick DD. Non/quick hurts my thumb and index finger.

As long as you didn't get a hang nail resulting in an insurance claim, no problem.
