Here are zoomed photos

Seller is giving me good deal for $8000, so I think it might have aftermarket parts, things I noticed are T Swiss is too close to each other, Tuesday font is slightly different, and Roman numeral circle has too thin lines.

Appears fine although a better close up of the clasp is needed and a look at the inside numbers on the end links to properly verify the band.

It also looks like it is missing quite a few links in the bracelet and at around $200 each, it can get pricey to rebuild the bracelet. It only looks like there are maybe 17 links. A full bracelet has 24

Bracelet looks aftermarket along with the bezel. Nothing wrong with that but it should be stated.

Buckle and Head was likely refinished.

I’d want to look at the movement.

Here is a zoomed photo, shouldn’t there be number 18000 stamped on top of Rolex?

Dots on the numerals seem not matching up vs real in the photo.

I don't know one way or the other, which means I need to trust the source of the watch for me to spend that kinda $$.

Regardless, I don't think anyone will say "100% authentic" without taking a look at the movement.

Even if the movement is ok, I want all the parts to be 100% authentic Rolex 18k gold, because 75grams of gold it’s self alone worth 4k, seems like dials, fonts are slightly differ in each year. So I guess bezel, clasp are aftermarket, how about the dial? can anyone with trained eye authentic this? Thank you

Thank you for your responses, I’ll pass on this one, but these photos should help future buyers! There are very close aftermarkets that almost resembles the original. Should I just go for 19018? quartz version, maybe because it doesn’t have many aftermarket parts if I find one, it most probably be 100% authentic? Because I’m more interested in gold value

Personally, the OQ DD is the best looking of the bunch. And I own a non OQ.

Bezel was replaced because its too crisp and shiny but that might have been done at rsc with a gen one all the rest is ok, dials and fonts differ over the years, the picture from bobs watches has a very polished down bezel that doesnt sparkle as it was intended.
All in all watch is genuine, clasp too so the bracelet 99% is also gen- aftermarket ones dont fit well to gen clasps.
Its funny how some of you are paranoid, but your only experience with a day date is to get a picture from a website and begin comparing.

OP Marcoemerald, if Crowncollection (David) states it's an original than you can bet it is.
I have never seen anybody more knowledgable about Day Dates than him.
Unfortunately many others make statements and don't have a clue really.

So much misinformation from people who don’t know. Here is the rose gold clasp that was on my 18038.

Thank you very much for your responses, I learned alot, how used Rolex market works, if you get good deal on a 95%+ authentic watch buy it, and later you can buy original parts cheaper one by one to make it 100% authentic. Only things important are Movement, case, bracelet/clasp
