18038 opinions

I have the chance to buy this 18038 from 1980. Comes on leather strap with gold plated rolex buckle. Price is £6000 ( approx $8300). Serviced 12 months ago. What are peoples thoughts. TIA

Lugs and bezel flutes are wayyyy over polished. Also the day and date wheels are not aligned, so I have my doubts that is was serviced properly.

You did well. There are many better options out there.

Also, you can wear an 1803 Day Date on a leather strap, but later models like this need a bracelet.

I think you can wear any DD with a leather strap, I'll do it with mine, but I agree that make more sense to buy a 18038 with the bracelet, you may save some money but if you wanna complete the watch you'll end up spending more
