Two bottles of wine and one bottle of port in Tijuana Mexico tonight. The cab was better than the malbec but the bottle of Port for $40 was Awesome!

Bison steaks, beet salad, green beans, and loaded potatoes. All served with an amazing vertical of Cabernet from Chappellet.

Rockford sparkling Shiraz to celebrate our anniversary.
One of my favourite wineries just outside of Adelaide. The sad thing is this was our last bottle. Need Australia to hurry up and open their border so we can buy some more! (Ahem - and visit family of course ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What time is it? Time for my version of Salt Bae tonight with a tasty reverse seared ribeye, garlic potatoes, sautéed veggies, and a 2018 Signature Cabernet from Chappellet topped with my applewood smoked Cabernet reduction sea salt.

Cracked open a 43 year old zin port tonight. A fantastic bouquet and taste, the color not so much. Oxidized to a light copper color. I thought it may have a sherry taste when I first poured it but it still retains the original port flavors.
Love the price sticker HaHa!

Saturday afternoon, time for a drink.
The Stonyfell Langhorne Creek Shiraz Cabernet is a recent find. I am currently buying it 'on special' at a lousy $12./bottle. Everything you'd want in a quality 'quaffer' at a rock-bottom price. Soft and well rounded with Blackberry and Plum. Just a lovely drop. I may drink a bit of the excellent 'Buller' Muscat later.

Offrdmania (Matt) - so that is obviously a Vintage Port (as distinct from a Tawny Port).
The colour is, as you say, very light. A lot of sediment? Did you have any more bottles of this, that you maybe drank earlier? I am a huge Port aficionado - well, all fortified wine really, and have cellared a fair bit of Vintage Port over the years. I find it enormously rewarding and love the distinctive flavour of Vintage Port. I mostly pull the cork at about 25 years and have never had a Vintage Port quite that old. Cheers!

We've been trying many different Mexican wines recently. They are nice but nothing like our California wines. They are much lighter and not as bold or fruit forward. Hopefully we find a few bottles we will want to buy and share with friends soon.

If you are not familiar with Sebastiani Winery it's worth looking up.
The Cherryblock is an excellent wine. This bottle should have stayed in the cellar for at least a few more years. However, it was very good...lots of big red fruit, Blackberry, cherry, plum, earthy and leathery. RECOMMEND

This is a pretty nice wine, especially at 29 bucks a bottle. I’ll be picking up a few more.
